- Guitars found at stores like Walmart and Target are typically toys and will not suit the needs of a guitar student.

- Guitar Case - Because humans are clumsy. 
 
- Tuner - App stores have great free versions

- Binder to hold music 
Recommended:
- Extra Strings - These are great to have in the event that one or more of the strings needs to be replaced.
