Do you have a rockstar living in your house? Does your child like to write poetry or songs? Then guitar lessons may be the lessons for them. Guitar students are taught the fundamentals of music reading, including standard music notation as well as tablature (tabs). What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Acoustic, Electric, or Bass Guitar

    • We recommend purchasing your guitar at a guitar or music store. Representatives at stores like Guitar Center or Music & Arts are able to help you find the best instrument for your child.

    • Guitars come in multiple sizes, so if the student is still young, you might consider getting a half-size or quarter-size guitar.

    • Guitars found at stores like Walmart and Target are typically toys and will not suit the needs of a guitar student.

  • Picks

  • Guitar Case

    • Because humans are clumsy.

  • Tuner

  • Binder to hold music

    • These are great to have in the event that one or more of the strings needs to be replaced.

  • Guitar Pegs

    • These are great to have in the event that you need to do some further repair work on your guitar.
